Our Eyeglasses:
Selecting your lenses and frames is a very personal choice. A wide variety of options are available that can be tailored to suit not only your medical needs but also your personal fashion.
With all the choices available, the experience can be daunting without the right guidance. Sarah and the staff in our optical department are here to make the experience both informative and enjoyable. With the right information, they will help you understand the best lens material, design, and treatments for your needs. They will also help you find a frame that is both fashionable and comfortable!
Lens Material
The raw material that we use to make your lenses matters. Lens materials vary in durability, scratch-resistance and weight. A great pair of eyeglasses starts with good material.
Lens Design
Lens design has to do with the way a lens is made or cut. Bifocals, for example, can be made in different shapes to a wearer’s preferences. Even single vision lenses today come in a variety of designs that help with different uses.
Lens Treatments
Once you have chosen the material and design of your lens, various treatments can be used for a variety of purposes: to reduce the “halo” effect of traffic at night, to allow in more “good” light for clearer vision, to reduce strain from a computer screen, or for lenses to darken in the sunlight.
Frames
When choosing a frame, the shape and size of the frame should enhance the color of your eyes, complement your skin tone and play up the best features of your face shape and of your personality. Our whole office staff loves helping find frames that are a comfortable complement to who you are!
Sunglasses
Any frame on our frame board can be made into sunglasses. Whether you are into function or fashion, we can help find something that works for you! Our sunglass lenses can be made to provide greater contrast (to help with fishing, for example) or to retain more true color while being worn.
Second Pairs
We’ve found that many people prefer more than one pair of glasses, such as one for everyday wear and another for outdoor activities. Having different style frames for different activities and moods makes wearing glasses more fun. Be sure to ask us about second pair discounts!
