Our Doctors and Staff
Dr. Glen Linsley
Dr. Glen Linsley received his Doctor of Optometry from Ohio State University and established his private practice in Mason in 1976. He is a long-time Associate Clinical Professor at the Michigan College of Optometry and spends two days a week supervising fourth-year optometry students at the Duane Waters Hospital at the Jackson Correctional Facility. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.Dr. Linsley is married and has six children with his wife, Donna. Dr. Linsley is an avid runner who has completed four marathons including the 2009 Boston Marathon. In 2015, he met his goal of competing in one race for each month of the year. He also enjoys camping, staying involved in his home church, reading Jeff Shaara novels, watching college football, and attempting to keep an eye on his very large family!
Dr. Chad Linsley
As Dr. Glen’s eldest son, Dr. Chad Linsley was exposed to optometry at an early age and spent many childhood years roaming his father’s practice. He spent several years of high school working in the practice dispensing glasses and performing general office work. Throughout college he spent his breaks at the office performing pre-testing and helping in the dispensary.
Dr. Chad received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2010. Dr. Linsley’s extern training included Eyecare Associates of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the Pawnee Indian Health Service near Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Dwayne Waters Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.
As an optometrist, Dr. Chad has an acute interest in third-world eye-care and has participated in short-term humanitarian trips to Haiti, Guatemala, Peru, Kenya, and Costa Rica. He is driven by his belief that there are few situations in which Mason Family Eye Care can not improve visual function or ocular comfort.
When Dr. Chad is not at the office, he enjoys running, reading, landscaping, and spending time with his wife, Felicia. Next time you’re in for an exam, you might ask him about the joy of shopping at Aldi.
Brett Linsley, Practice Manager
Dr. Glen’s second son and Dr. Chad’s younger brother, Brett joined the family practice in June 2015. Brett coordinates the many different activities that are required to keep a medical practice running. He enjoys the opportunity his work gives him to regularly interact with all different kinds of people from Mason and the surrounding communities.
Brett enjoys gardening and travelling with his wife Lisa (yes, the Lisa that works at Mason Family Eye Care!) and working on his book review podcast.
Lisa Rizzardi, Scribe
Lisa approaches her duties in the exam room with precision, courtesy and professionalism. In her time at Mason Family Eye Care, she has become skilled in all areas of our office and now scribes for Dr. Chad with excellence. Her steady countenance and attention detail have made her an invaluable member of Mason Family Eye Care.
As one our office’s several animal enthusiasts, it won’t surprise you to see Lisa out for a run with one of her three dogs. She is also an avid reader and crafting enthusiast. While quiet and reserved, Lisa may just talk your ear off if you ask her about her dogs or the latest JK Rowling novel.
Debbie Markiewicz, Front Desk
Kim Dodge, Optician
Shari Lavigne, Optician
Denise Towsend, Front Desk
Denise helps us keep up with the many appointments, questions, and paperwork that cross the front desk. She is eager to help people pick out glasses and embraces the opportunity to do something as important as helping peoples’ eyesight. Denise likes working with a staff that is full of good, caring, and hard working people.
If Denise isn’t helping you set up your next appointment, she enjoys hanging out with her husband Jeff, her family, her grandkids, and her doggie Elson. She enjoys running, walking, riding her bike, and working in her flower bed. Summer and fall seasons are the best!
Ashley Stokes, Technician
Lauren Oxendale Yunker, Technician
Lauren has lived in the Lansing area her whole life. She grew up in Haslett, and now lives in Holt, but adores the Mason community! Lauren loves being a “Jack-of-all-Trades.” She has a great love for all animals and their care. She loves to talk about her three dogs, three cats and rabbit. She will talk about her animals more than her four children and husband! When not spending time with animals at the local shelter, you can find Lauren enjoying the great outdoors. Whether it be walking her dogs, riding bikes, ATVing, kayaking, gardening, or unwinding by the bon-fire. She especially loves spending time at her cabin and anywhere in upper Michigan and the UP.
Gail Brown, Optician
Gail was Mason Family Eye Care’s first practice manager. We were delighted to welcome her back in 2020 to our optical department.
Gail’s lively personality keeps the office an upbeat and friendly place to be.
